Crosses And Laurels is the second work of Christine IX. Crosses and laurels of contemporaneity and of musical intimacy. Sorrow and glory at the turn of two centuries, reflected in mirrors and cross-references, among paper letters, music tapes and virtual oceans, in which music drowns or asserts itself. A combative concept album, inspired by readings, reflections, hopes and illusions about the dystopian future that we are already experiencing, as individuals and as a community. A strong need to talk less and disagree more, even stronger. Dreamy songs, pieces of punk and time signatures when you do not expect them. Written, arranged, played and produced by Christine IX.
